Allen Beebe
Allen Beebe, owner and founder of CALMEX, INC., is a true restaurant man. His love of restaurants started in the late 60s when he took a job running a Taco Bell restaurant at the advice of his brother. One thing lead to another and in the 40 years since then he has opened more than 45 quick service and casual dining restaurants in Northern California.
He was one of Taco Bell’s top 20 franchisees and it was his success in the food business that lead him to explore other franchise opportunities. When Taco Bell/PepsiCo acquired San Francisco based Chevys Fresh Mex in the early 90s, Allen was intrigued by the popular made-from-scratch casual dining concept and he became franchisee of five Chevys of his own. He also showed a keen interest in Fuzio Universal Bistro, a new concept that served a wide array of global flavors at reasonable prices, and decided to add a couple of them to his restaurant portfolio. Allen quickly fell for Fuzio’s casual style and tasty food so in 2007 he sold his Chevys restaurants and bought the company’s nine Fuzio restaurants. In August 2008 the franchisee turned franchisor opened his very first “new” Fuzio Universal Bistro in downtown Sacramento near the capital. Allen and his team are on track to open 5 more new Fuzio restaurants by year’s end.
Allen is a Modesto native and has developed real estate and the restaurant scene in California’s Central Valley his entire professional career. His real estate portfolio consists of Commercial Office Buildings, a small Shopping Center and several Restaurants, all located in Northern California.
He’s active in his community and dedicates time to local children’s causes such as The First Tee, an educational organization promoting life enhancing values through golf, and he was the recipient of the Children First “Distinguished Leadership Award” for Stanislaus County. He is also a member of the Stanislaus President’s Club.
